Tally

Tally sends the stream over Starlink and cellular at the same time. If one connection drops, the other carries the game, and the camera never notices.

A ballpark on tournament day is full of phones, and they all share the same cell towers. A stream on one connection can stall in the middle of an inning, and the people at home miss it.

Tally runs on the router at the field and spreads the stream across every connection it has. Nothing changes on the camera side: I press Go Live the same as always.

If one road goes down, the stream keeps going on the other. When the weaker connection is carrying it alone, the picture softens, then sharpens back up when the stronger one returns.

So far

Tested at the field

Oct 17
One stream ran 3 hours and 6 minutes without reconnecting, through Starlink being unplugged, cellular switched off and back on, and a switch between SIM cards.
Oct 18
At a field with bad reception, Starlink was unplugged twice, once for 30 seconds and once for almost three minutes. Cellular took over the live stream both times without the camera reconnecting.
Next
A full game day with both connections, then a second rig.
